Welcome! I am gradually cobbling together references from "The City of God"

 Infinite Vistas

Bahji, near Haifa, Israel

I live not too far from the shores of beloved White Rock Lake, in East Dallas, an urban oasis and a consolation to harried spirits. By day I am a public librarian. My real work is to trace the patterns that connect all things. I have great hopes that a new world is aborning, suffused with a grace and beauty the like of which humanity has never known. I profoundly believe, as Shoghi Effendi observed in 1933:

We cannot segregate the human heart from the environment outside us and say that once one of these is reformed everything will be improved. Man is organic with the world. His inner life moulds the environment and is itself also deeply affected by it. The one acts upon the other and every abiding change in the life of man is the result of these mutual reactions.

This same spirit animates me, this same optimism about what may be in prospect.

Best wishes
Mark
